The older students of Allendale attend Northern Highlands Regional High School which is a combination of youth from Allendale, Upper Saddle River, Ho-Ho-Kus, and Saddle River.
 
Living in Allendale also makes commuting to work easier via New Jersey Transit. These lines offer transportation to the Hoboken Terminal which is the hub to the Secaucus Junction and Penn Station. But if driving to work is easier for you Allendale is just set right off of Route 17 which offers a stress free commute.
