Carlstadt is a community
with a dual personality; it is both a quiet, friendly, family-oriented borough
and growing center of commerce. The community
conveniently located 9
miles west of New York City . With
tree lined streets and
quiet neighborhoods this community offers a relaxed escape from the frenzied
world in which we live in. There are many places of worship, recreational
activities for younger residents, and community events that bring residents
together. There are several commercial areas in Carlstadt, each with its own
unique stores and services. Along Hackensack Street one can find Italian
Restaurants, Pizza Parlors, local taverns as well as a fish market. Grocery
stores, pharmacies, banks and service stations can be found along Paterson
Avenue and Hoboken Road. Carlstadt is located near the Secaucus Outlets, as
well.
The Meadowlands Sports Complex is located a few miles to the east.
The Meadowlands is home to several national sports franchises, as well as many
collegiate football and basketball games, and a premier Horse Racing facility.
There are also several large hotels with banquet facilities, restaurants, and
conference facilities.
