Mahwah is the largest municipality in Bergen County with an area of 26.7 square miles. The town is surrounded by the Ramapo Mountains and the Ramapo and Mahwah Rivers. There are approximately 26,000 residents. It is conveniently located near many major roadways, including Route 17 and Interstate 287, providing easy access to the rest of Bergen County and beyond. Just thirty miles from New York City, Mahwah offers public transportation, including buses and trains, and fast access to the area’s major airports.

Mahwah is home to several large corporations, including Jaguar, Seiko and UPS. It also offers a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. The Township offers almost 5,000 acres of county and state parking, and residents enjoy hiking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing and organized sports like tennis, basketball and soccer.
