North Arlington has an active population of families, seniors and other individuals that enjoy a high quality of life. The town is located in the southern tip of Bergen County and has a population 15,500 residents. Public transportation is readily available, including train and bus routes that take residents around town, throughout greater Bergen County and to New York City.
The borough also sponsors a variety of parades, festivals and events. A tree lighting ceremony in December, a Memorial Day Parade and Movie Under the Stars event in July are just a few of the activities enjoyed be residents.

The North Arlington School District educates students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Schools in the district include three pre-kindergarten through grade five elementary schools: Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Franklin Roosevelt Elementary School and George Washington Elementary School; North Arlington Middle School for grades six through eight; and North Arlington High School for grades nine through twelve. North Arlington is also home to two Roman Catholic schools, Queen of Peace Elementary School and Queen of Peace High School.
